How does this perform on the One? I imagine that its pretty slow as there must be quiet alot of computation in Virtual Box?

The performance in the one is good enought ,windows xp work perfectly and fast, for Ubuntu we can notice that get slower a little bit. and is normal that in a desktop or a hight performance Laptop the virtualbox will be better.

Actually, I have VirtualBox running fine with XP right now. Like someone else said, performance is good enough. I can't however get the 1024 x 600 resolution, only 800 x 600 (I like to run it in full screen mode). :)

Just an update to my screen resolution. I installed VirtualBox guest additions and the resolution was set to the 1024x600. In fact, if I run it in a window, I can resize to any size window and the resolution is automatically adjusted. :D

One thing to note is that running a VM on battery power will seriously decrease your battery life.
