I have an acer A00110 with Linpus Linux. I am new to linux. Trying to download and install huewei081126.sh (am hoping this will work with vodafone 3g, / or am i wasting my time) from acer support website (I found a link to this from this forum). After extracting zip version I cannot open or run the file.

You can run the filemanager 'as root' with this command in a terminal:

    sudo thunar

Be careful now, you can ruin your system ...

Navigate to the file that you have downloaded, in it's properties make it executable and then run it.

    --Japser.

Have managed to install this driver but it does not appear to be communicating with the vodaphone 3g device. Some of the posts in this section are way to technical for me but does any one know if I am barking up the wrong tree and maybe this isnt the correct software for this device. If so what is correct.
