    HELP HELP HELP!!!!
Can someone please try and help me out before I throw my AAO out of the window :-(
I just installed VISTA BUSINESS onto the machine and I cannot get the wireless to work.
I downloaded the correct drivers and the Atheros Wireless hardware is showing as working in the device manager but my wireless network is not showing available.
Also, in the device manager is something called 'Realtek family Ethernet' or something. This is showing as not working and I cannot seem to get the drivers from anywhere. I had Windows XP loaded before and that worked fine.
    Hope someone can help.
    Many thanks

i tried many things on this site and couldn't get it to work either.

then i installed two drivers from this file:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/144559297/Acer_ONE.exe.html

i unchecked all the boxes, then selected only the two network drivers: Realtek driver and Atheros driver.

    this works!

Hate to ask such a basic question but is the wireless switch on? Do you see the wireless adapter in device manager?

I had something similar to this happen twice before and unplugging the computer from power and pulling the battery off fixed it.

Wireless works on Vista it is just un realiable, at times it hangs and the orange light stays steady with full reception, but the web pages wont load.

Mine was fine until I Updated... After doing the updates only the local network will work but internet was gone... I read somewhere in this forum to use WEP Encryption insted of WAP and that did the trick for me... Also Im using the Vista driver ( xxxx .156 instead of 224 )from Atheros cz, not sure if this mattered cos I didnt try it yet on the xp one...
