Remember that you can supply the power to the USB devices separate from the hub. The hub can be 3.3 volts and you can power everything you attach to the hub at 5 volts.

My two TS from Toptouchsceen arrived,,,,

Yes, they are missing the extra wires for the 3rd and 4th USB port on the hub. email sent....

Thanks... but does the 5V connection require soldering?

so if I want to keep the solderless kit "solderless", I am stuck with 3.3V. If I want 5V, then that requires soldering...

Anyone knows if those tiny USB bluetooth module can take 3.3V?

Why are you worried about the voltage differences?
I didn't read many of the previous posts really. Is it because it's more stable?

I still have not received the USB wires from toptouchscreen after 2 weeks. I go ahead and installed the touchscreen finally. Everytime I touch the screen, the cursor will jump to the same spot. I wonder what is the problem? Even if I remove the bezel and let the touchscreen+LCD on their own, the cursor still jump back to the same spot...?

Yes... I did 4 points, 9 points, 25 points... still no use. I tried it on dual boot (XP and OSX) and both have the same problem. It is like the cursor is stuck to one place. When I touch somewhere else the cursor will move there then bounce back to the point where it is stuck. I have tried remove the bezel and loosen all screws on the LCD and still no change. I am very sure the rubber strips are not touching the touchscreen. Any idea?

During the four point calibration you are holding the flashing "X" until it stops flashing, correct?

Clean the screen, the edge. be sure there is not tape residue making a connection from the top and bottom of screen.

Measure resistance of the screen, no touch = high resistance (open) / touch = low resistance (short).

Of course! There are on-screen instructions and that are very clear.
I don't have any tools to test resistance... Anyway I got a quick reply from toptouchscreen and hope they can help me.

I thought the toptouchscreen guys are nice and so I left good feedback for them.
Now they don't reply my email any more!

Don't leave feedback to this seller until you have all your issues solved!

Toptouchscreen promised me the missing USB connection cables which were left out of the kits if I left positive feedback, then they stopped responding to emails and never provided the cables.

    Buyer Beware...

They used to reply quickly within 24 hours except weekends, but since I left positive feedback they have stopped responding...

I ordered the kit from them on May 8th (it is now May 28th) and still have not received mine. Is this normal for shipping to take so long? I would think for $25 they'd send it expedited. I've sent several requests and only the first e-mail was answered with a reply of "product ships out 0-2 days after payment." I paid on the 8th, the day I won it.

I have yet to leave them feedback but I'm starting to think I need to get PayPal involved and dispute the charge soon. This really sucks as I was looking forward to installing this!

Thanks Jerry, did it require a signature to receive it? My mail carriers have become fairly absent-minded lately and it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if they conveniently "lost" it or the signature card somewhere. (They've done it before.)

I believe I had to sign, but not 100% sure. I know they ship with a tracking number.

I received my kit almost 3 weeks after I paid. It got stuck with Customs for a while.

They said they shipped me the missing USB wires but I never received them after 5 weeks.

I finally got a response from him once I put a dispute in with PayPal; supposedly a batch were either damaged or lost, I can't tell. He claims he has "the wrong tracking number" ? No idea.

Is there a touchscreen kit for the newer 10.1" screens too?
