Icon dissappears after mouseover

Hi there, What a great source of information is this forum. It's been able to answer almost all my questions. But I have one left. I've installed gqview from the repository and updated it with the latest version from there website (2.1.5). It works fine, but the icon on the desktop acts a little bit weird. When booting the right icon shows up. But when I do as much as move the mousecursor over the icon it dissappears until I reboot. Do you have any suggestions, I wasn't able to find a solution on the forum yet. Regards and happy holidays, Wessel
