Has anyone figured out a way to upgrade iDeneb 10.5.6 to 10.5.7. I have tried using the update package from iDeneb but my AAO kept rebooting endlessly after the install. A guide for upgrading would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Yeah so this is what I did. At first I downloaded the update through software update taking the chance. It did NOT work! So I reinstalled iDeneb and installed the iDeneb tools just like you did when you first installed it. I then downloaded the update package, and installed combo update and the iDeneb tool. In iDeneb tool i downloaded all of the packages. Once both were done I restarted it and it works. Only problem I have now is my resolution went back to 800x600 and I'm not sure if I can use gma950 again. So thats what I did if someone can answer my question as well that would be great.

I didn't use iDeneb to setup my "HacBook nano", but used iATKOS_5i instead. Similar problem after downloading and installing the 10.5.7 combo which left me with a stretched 800x600 but otherwise functional 10.5.7 system.

Perusing the issues and advice in viewtopic.php?f=14&t=14122 I deleted the appleintelgma kext and the appleintelintegrated buffer in /System/Library/Extensions, then deleted the extensions.mkext and rebooted.

I then opened kext helper b7 and loaded part 1 of diablo's kexts which contains the gma950 and integrated kexts. Rebooted and bingo, 10.5.7 running at 800x600 (normal, not stretched) went to Displays and selected 1024x600.

    All is good (for me)

this is because the default kernel has changed from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7, from the voodoo kernel to the (incompatible) darwin one.

If you press a key on the bootloader, a command prompt shows, then you type "voodoo" (without the quotes) and voilĂ !
