hehe.. got the Ralink 802.11n to work ;)
wifi toggle switch on the AAO ZG5 works fine on the MAC OS X :D
everything is running perfect and smooth now
is there a way to get rid of the iDeneb logo on "About this mac" and change it to the real Mac Logo?

Just got it all installed and everything seems to be working. Before I try it, can I get the unit to sleep? I assume that closing the lid doesn't work, but will it sleep if I do it from the apple menu?

Nope. That's one of the biggest items on the want list right now. In another post there's a $250 reward being offered to the first person who can make Sleep work on an AAO....

Ah well. Just thought I'd ask. So I guess that means I can't sleep the unit at all?

Right now, I just updated to 10.5.7 and now I'm stuck in a boot loop that keeps saying "hibernate failed." Guess I'll reinstall.

Is there any way to get this to work with sound, usb, and wifi on a standard 8.9" Acer One ??

I've read some posts that suggest you need to replace the wireless card.. I don't want to do that...

    Thanks :)

The Atheros wireless card that ships with the AAO is a real pain in OSX. There are threads where some have had success in getting them to work. Myself I opted for a $15 Dell 1390 card from E-Bay. It took me exactly 22 minutes to open the system and install it using a picture guide in another thread on this forum.

Alright got iDeneb installed on my Aspire One fine. So far, so good.

After a while I decided to install the iDeneb Combo Upgrade KIT 10.5.7 (since it was probably better than trying the official 10.5.7 update...I hope).

Couple hiccups that I'm sure people can figure out and assist an OSX noob like me. Mind you I haven't touched a MacOS in 15 years now so this is WELL outside what I am accustomed to and pretty much have no clue what I'm doing. DOS and Windows I know inside out lol. Anyways:

    1) Lost the 1024x600 display resolution. It's stuck in 800x600 and no amount of reinstalling this GMA950 file referenced in the OP can get it back. How can I fix this?

    2) If I let it auto boot, it starts to load for a split second then reboots. If I interrupt it and type voodoo and the boot prompt, it will load. What can I do to avoid this user interaction after POST?

    1. reboot, but this time start in single-user mode by the kernel flag "-s"
    2.
    Code:
    cd /System/Library/Extensions
    rm -r AppleIntel*
    cd ..
    rm Extensions.mkext
    shutdown -r now
    3. then reinstall the gma950 kext, the integrated kext and the natit kext.
    4. i dont know if the external display was affected by this so i reinstalled the gma950.pkg (found on this forum and on insanelymac.com)

these instructions have worked for me on iatkos, and they might work for ideneb.

Anyone got a copy of Diablo’s iDeneb 1.4 Tools? The site is down, just when I decided to dip my toe in the OSX waters :(

*never mind, found it, just needed to guess the word for "download" ;) *

I just received my AOA-1777 today and tried this. Everything worked out. I'm also dual booting with the bundled XP Home. This guide was straightforward and simpler than others I've seen. I'm waiting on my Dell 1390 to arrive, so I can get wireless.

Keyboard won't work. If I plug in a USB keyboard I can use the computer, but otherwise, the keyboard won't work once it boots into iDeneb. I think I missed selecting the ISO keyboard when I ran the "-x" and entered my name, etc. How can I fix this? Please advise me!

I followed all instructions, however my keyboard is not working. I can use a USB keyboard, indeed I am typing on it now, but the Keyboard Kext is not working for the built in Keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you just do step 16 or did you do step 21 as well? when I messed with the iDeneb v1.4 I just did step 16 for the keyboard and didn't do step 21 (the optional keyboard fix). My keyboard worked.
