I am a FF user awhile back I deleted the IE Icon and IE in the menu, I was checking MS updates today and IE8 was offered. I have a few buddies that like it so I decided to give it a try, everything went well except I still do not have IE on the desk top or in the menu. I skulked around in Explorer but could not find the IE executable to make a desk top icon, I can open IE8 by using Windows update in the menu but would like an Icon. I am pretty good at finding stuff but this one has me stumped!

FYI, there's an excellent FireFox extension called "IE Tab" that allows on the fly or permanent use of IE itself within FF itself. It's up to date for IE 8. Been using it for several years - eliminates the need for a separate IE icon or separate bookmark/favorites in two browsers. You just decide if you want a site to load as FF or IE, within FF.
