Has anyone ever heard of Igelle? http://www.igelle.com
It looks really interesting and is supposed to work good and have compositing even on old an non-powerful hardware. And the interface isn't too bad. I'm running it in a virtual machine right now and it looks cool as hell. Going to be installing it to hard drive soon and actually using it. I don't like any of the "netbook" linux distros out there except for Moblin and that won't work with this video card and neither does the new Ubuntu so I was thinking about this one.

I have gotten it installed. Getting it to boot from usb is a bit of a pain but it works. You have to make the usb with ubootnetin from within linux. The USB needs to be ext2 filesystem. After unetbootin copies all the files you need to edit a few files. Syslinux.cfg isolinux.cfg and another one with .conf
You have to edit it so root=/dev/sdb1:
otherwise it will look for a cd that isn't there
it only recognizes 1024x 768 resolution for now but the copositing seems to work well even without the actual video drivers. It worth checking out

awesome, thanks for the heads up. :)
I'm curious if anyone is having issues with reading text on the AOD751h screen, to me the whites are too bright and overpower the text colour, and also makes reading text both painful and illegible, anyone else feel like this? (I have a desktop and a notebook, and I don't have issues like this with them)

    thanks

It may be the LCD backlighting is too bright or that the tiny screen is a lot more sharp than you are used to on the bigger monitors?
Also on Igelle, make sure you know how to edit Grub because it deletes the bootloader for Windows.
