I got my Aspire One to replace another notebook.

I've been powering the old notebook(s) with an iGo Everywhere85 AC/Car/Plane adapter.

Of course the iGo site doesn't list the Aspire One.

My old Averatec tip fits the socket but appears to be for a larger internal pin so there's no contact for the Aspire One.

Anyone know what tip? Or what other computers the adapter is compatible with?

Looked like an A14 tip (I think) but I emailed iGo to check - no reply yet.........

that would be strange. Usually the A and B tips are lower voltage tips for cell phones, DVD players, etc.

Please post the reply from iGo when you get it.

In the meantime, I noticed that Atbatt.com sells an Amstron tip (http://www.atbatt.com/product/20682.asp#tabs) and has a compatibility chart that indicates that the tip for the 1200 also fits what looks like may be every Acer laptop ever produced -- or at least too many to count!

Not one to wait for iGo to respond (my press contacts are even slow to respond), I went ahead and ordered tip #14. It works perfectly.

So if you have an older iGo or Targus use tip #14
    The everywhere85 users tip #114
And my Kensington (yes I have more than one) uses a N14 tip.

I am using tip 2 and it works just fine. It is on a Targus 70w, but Targus and iGo are the same. Tip 2 is supposed to work on an Acer Aspire 5570z, and that is rated for 19v also. Tip 2 happens to be a right angle tip and actually works. Targus support will respond that they don't have a tip for the Acer Aspire One, and iGo support hasn't responded to me at all.

    Interesting...

I just dug out my Tip #2 and while it fits the inside pin, its loose on the outside.

So far I've tried #3 (inside pin too loose), #2 (outside too loose) and #14 (just right--makes me think of Goldilocks and the Three Bears)
