As a noob please can anybody advise how I can import my address book from Thunderbird? I can export the book from Thunderbird but cannot see how to add it to the AA1 address book. At the moment I have the list stored as a spreadsheet but this is a bit clunky. Any ideas welcome.

Did you find a way to do this?

I don't think you can... thinking on trying to download Thunderbird onto mine as I assume you can import a Windows address book into it.

aspire one mail only takes vcard address book formarts (which is supported by all phones and most email clients - except Thunderbird). You need to find a way to convert your Thunderbird exported files to the vcard format.

Off the top of my head I can think of only importing the entire address book from Thunderbird into a gmail account, and then using that to export to vcard. good luck!

Oh ho... does that mean I can export my Outlook Express address book in this vcard format and then import on the AA1...?

    Thanks,

Does outlook express support exporting to vcard? Personally I don't use any of these apps so I really can't say

It appears to... well, it mentions it in the export list. I'll need to give it a go.

Thanks for the ideas. I am away from home at present but when I get back to my desktop will shuffle my address book back and forth and see what happens. Currently I have the full book stored on the spreadsheet in OO... but it is a bit clunky but it works.

Didn't work. Seems vcard is one thing at a time rather than the entire address book so still searching...
