install a new package

    What is the package-manager for the aspire one netbook ?
    How can I use it ?

    Well, it's yum, but it's not really synchronized with the Fedora repos. In other words, much of the time you can install packages from the repo, but there are other times when using the package manager to add or remove software breaks something. :)

    Do a search for enabling advanced mode, then, once you have done that, you can right click anywhere on the desktop, choose system, and then choose the menu for adding and removing software.

    (If you're familiar with the command line, that's unnecessary, you can just use yum from command line, however do NOT do yum upgrade till you've browsed through the forums and found some of the problems people encounter. It is fine to upgrade, for example, cups, but other things will break things.)
