I recently downloaded and installed the Red Hat/ Fedora version of Frostwire P2P. It seemed to install successfully and is located in the advanced "right-click" menu under network but does not start up when I attempt to run it out of said menu. Am I missing something or is there a step I have missed in this process??

Any help and/or advice is appreciated.

Doesn't Frostwire depend on Java? I don't use it, but I think I might have read that somewhere.

Maybe you need to install Sun's Java instead of just using the Java packaged with the AAO? You can go here to find out how to install Sun's version ...

... and make it the default Java.

    Cheers.

I found the Java article on Macles and installed from there. My Java is updated which is great, Frostwire now has an icon in the menu bar but still does not startup. Very strange.... any ideas?

If anyone knows of another P2P app that is better, please let me know.

Also, if I wanted to uninstall Frostwire. How would i go about doing that?

    Thanks Again

    Uninstalling should be fairly simple.
Go into your package manager and search for Frostwire.
It should have a green check mark next to it.
Un check it and click apply.

Im having the same problem with frostwire,,
But ive been able to install lime wire.
With me the issue is theres no short cut.
I have to go into the file and click the applications icon.

Maybe theres something like that in the frostwire folder.
