i have an AAO 150 with 120gb, 1GB stock upgraded to 1.5GB ram, Win XP.

I have been using the WinXP that came with the item for 1 month with AA1FanControl. Was getting temperatures reaching 70c after 10min or so then letting the fan kick in.

I have now installed Tiny Vista V2 which came with eXPerience (whatever that means).... now the max temperature after prolonged use peaks at 54c and fluctuates to below this level for the first 45 mins at least... then it gradually gets hotter.

I will consider installing a custom heatsink as has been done here to further reduce heat..

    update...

it seems i have exaggerated the improvement. my initial results must have come from the colder operating environment.

after more extensive testing, i can confirm only a small, but noticeable difference in generated heat.

i mainly use the acer one for internet surfing.
