My Intel Centrino 6300 Ultimate-N Half Mini Card arrived today. I've managed to take my eM250-1863 apart and dry fit the card in the slot where the Half Mini Broadcom used to be.

It hadn't occured to me but there are three antenna posts on the 6300 and only two existing ones. So I'm looking for advice on where to run the third antenna.

But I may need more than just one extra. Since I'm also waiting on a factory bluetooth module to be delivered and will eventually be installing a WWAN card in the free Mini PCIE bay. Will either of these need internal antennas?

And then of course I'll need a SIM card reader so I should probably do that while I'm at it.

    Any thoughts?

I attached the existing black antenna to the far left post (#1) and the white to the far right post (#2). There's no antenna for the middle post (#3) - yet.

I closed the box up. On restart it recognized the card right away and the Wi-Fi is working, the on off switch at the front works too.

Its saying 144.0 Mbps right now, but we'll see what the speed is like once I get a little more time.
