    Hi everybody,

Can someone please show me step-by-step how to install AVG on Linpus? I am such a useless person when it comes to this operating system, as Linux is completely new to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks :)

Ok first of all AntiVirus software on Linux is not as indispensable as it is on Windows. There is very little risk of infection.
That said If you really must install AV protection there is Clam AV available from the package manager.
Avast and AVG both apparently do AV products for Linux too. So if you are adamant you want AVG.
Download the RPM for Redhat/Fedora from here.http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afl
Open your Downloads folder in the file manager and double click on the RPM file.
The package installer will launch. Input your password when asked and then click on the install button.
Note: Make sure you have an active internet connection so that the installer can pull in any dependancies from the Fedora repositries.
That should be all you need to do, although I haven't tested the install myself as I don't need/want AV protection on my Linux One.

If the install doesn't work properly you can read the pdf help file here:
    http://download.avg.com/filedir/doc/AVG_7.5/LINUX_GROUP/AVG_Free_for_Linux/avg_afl_uma_en_75_2.pdf
