I've seen my fair share of Linux distros that let you chose the desktop interface. Gnome, KDE, XFCE, Black Ice. Whichever. What is keeping Linpus from being able to use Gnome or KDE over XFCE?

I suspect you'll find that when you try to install GNOME and/or KDE from a Fedora repository, Fedora will want to "upgrade" some of the custom Linpus packages which will break Linpus in various ways. Don't let my suspicions prevent you from trying it, just be sure to back up your current working system have before messing around with adding another DE.
