Installing on USB CF and then using as SSD?

    While I'm trying to sort out my CompactFlash ZIF cable problems, I'm wondering if I can get a headstart by installing onto the CF card via a card reader?

    It would be nice to be able to boot from the CF card externally, and then when I have time to crack the AAO open again, to use it as the SSD. In doing this, would I have to reinstall, or would it be good to go?
