    Hi guys,

I have the 512Mb version and want to install one of the 'slimmed-down' versions of XP that are available - has anyone installed either TinyXP or MicroXP? If so, could you provide any info that would be useful on doing this?

    Thanks in advance

I'm presently using Ron's tinyXP, and am very happy with it. Granted I have 1GB RAM, but I am running it on the 8GB SSD, and it is very quick.

You can use standard tinyXP, but you would need access to an external CD drive to install it. Ron's version is basically a ghost image and can be installed from a flash drive.

I've tried installing Ron's TinyXP but i can't make it work.

When i come to step 16 (in the guide linked to above) i get “bad command or filename” no matter what i write.
I’ve tried everything from A: to Z: but nothing works! I have also tried a different usb stick, but with the same result.

Can anyone help? I guess some one has made this work?

throw out the guide, get a copy of ultraiso, select then write image, select your stick and watch magic happen.
Ultraiso 'burns' your image to the stick. all other data gets wiped out, so backup b4 using this
