Installing ubuntu problems :(

    i used unetboot to put ubuntu onto my usb and then i booted up my aao up from the usb and every thing went fine i was in ubuntu. i then wanted to install it onto the c drive and use the partition editor that is in the installing program but when i get to the part when i have to select the c drive i cant see it there i the list its just empty and i dont know whats going on :( . so if anyone knows what i have done wrong or know how to get the c drive to show up please tell me

    The drop-down box should be displaying "/dev/sda" not "c:\" but if it's just blank then I don't know why that is.
