I just installed Win xp pro direct from the original CD and then installed the drivers from this website. I have had NO problems the system runs fast. I actually had more space free with XP than that crappy linux. I am now running Street Atlas 2009 and using the system as a super cheap ($379.00) 8.9" display GPS unit. After installing Street Atlas I still have 2.3 Gigs free. I did place my swap file on a 4gig schc card in the expansion slot. This should spare the main SSD some wear and tear(write cycles). Installing xp is easy and better than waht the unit shipped with So do it!

Ok..so you don't have any performance problems/stuttering/pauses with any disc (ssd) access? I had pretty bad performance and I had to resort to fully tweaking XP to get it to work fast...
