I recently took a tumble down some stairs with my AAO and landed directly on my screen. Needless to say, the screen was ruined. It snapped right off.

In light of this, I connected an external monitor with fingers crossed - it worked!

However, I had to reformat a short time after through eRecovery. As I enter the windows out-of-box experience setup screen, the monitor goes blank, so I can't see what the heck to type in!

If I could get past this setup screen, I could use fn+f6 and switch to the external monitor, but during setup it won't allow me to do such.

I'm thinking I could blindly run through the setup if I had step-by-step screenshots of the setup. What can I do?

Make sure the external monitor is connected and turned on before you power up the Acer. Then try Fn + f5 or f6 again
