I am totally clueless as to what to do. I bought this for my 9 yo nephew and there hasn't been a problem for 6 months. Now, he is getting an error message - failed to initialze HAL. I cannot connect to the Internet. When I go to settings, I click the Network Center but it doesn't open. The network icon has disappeared from the systems tray. It is using Linux. Any ideas? Thank you!!!

I had the same problem I ended up having to re-install the whole OS. It sucks.
