ok so a while back i did a cf card mod on my 110l acer i used a 16 gb cf card and installed xp. now iv begun to run out of space after surfing around i saw a mod that a guy did on his 701 where he skinned a flash drive and installed it inside of his system. here is my question how would this affect my system how bad of an impact would this have on my battery life, would it be slow and how fast would something like that ware out? i am planing 2 get a 16gb sd and a 30 gb flash drive to deal with my on board storage problem.

Just strip the flashdrive, connect it to the CN11 port. It takes 30 minutes tops.

I'd also love to know if this would have any noticeable effect on battery life...?

    Cheers!

well i would expect that it would respectively shorten the flashdrive's lifespan considerably... In my own opinion I'd take advantage of the media readers that you have built-in. Media cards have gone down in price quite considerably and with a lot of storage as well. A friend told me that in India its the netbook fad to install Operating Systems on SD cards and trade them
