    Real quick:
I have the XP AAO with 1gig RAM, 120 gig HD, etc. No hardware mods have been made.

I installed Vista tonight and finally got the Wifi working. There is a problem connecting to the internet though. The WiFi recognizes the network connection, but it connects as local only and won't connect to the net. My other laptop connects just fine, but the AAO just won't get online.

The network is totally open, so I don't have a network key.

    Any ideas?

If you installed security software, it is possible to mess up the firewall to disable some internet protocols etc. Damned if I know how one would do this, but my dad did... lol

What firewall and antivirus are you using, if any. Disable these try again.
