On my new Acer Aspire one NAV50 model with Windows 7 starter, Internet Explorer recently started showing web pages magnified about 5 times, making viewing impracitcal. Changing view options in IE does not work. I tried to uninstall IE, thinking to redownload and reinstall with the control panel uninstall utility but IE doesn't show up on the list, yet it shows in my startup box. Acer support won't help me unless I pay, IE says to talk to Acer. Firefox works fine, but I need IE to interact with a particular website for work.

    Any ideas?

Typically you would press CTRL+0 to return to a standard zoom size.

IE does not show up in add/remove programs as it is an integral part of the Windows OS.

If it is appearing in your "Startup" folder, then something tells me you have a piece of malware trying to run it for some reason. Do a thorough virus and spyware/adware scan to make sure your system is clean.

If you're running IE8 then you can also goto the Tools -> Preferences and in the tab on the far right is a "Reset" button which will attempt to remove all addons, BHO's etc and return IE to default settings.

You might also try Tools - Compatibility View and see if the site works better in "compatibility mode", that renders sites designed for earlier versions of IE.
