Hi there, first of all nice to meet you all. I'm Fighter1405, if any of you play Travian then I may know you from there (seems unlikely but I stick it in on my introduction on every forum I join :p).

Anyway I've just ordered a windows XP 1gb Sapphire blue AA1 with 120gb HDD, but only a 3 cell battery :( Most likely I'll order an extra 6-cell so I can get a full 8 hours or so.

Wondering if any one else has a Sapphire blue one, and if so any pictures to entertain myself with whilst I wait for it to arrive? Could be a week or so :( In the mean time I'm going to prep an ubuntu livems (if it can be called that - only used livecds before) to install once it arrives.

    Have a good day!

    Fighter

Thanks for the link, interesting reading the reviews there (amazon only had 5 or so customer reviews). Can't wait to get mine now but I'll just have to lean to be patient - in bed now with my old giant laptop that's baking hot :p

I actually had the same model in blue but recently upgraded to a 6-cell white. Haven't looked back yet, the 3-cell blue was a fingerprint magnet and the battery life was abysmal.

I guessed the battery life would be bad, which is why I will probably end up with a 6 cell battery as well, shame to hear the blue color isn't the best. Did you get a slip case with yours?

In other news amazon have told me it is now dispatched, so hopefully it will arrive a lot earlier than their initial estimate.

    (double post, Eeek!)

Well it arrived today much earlier than I could have hoped for and I love it already :) It's coming with me everywhere from now on.

That slip cover must be from Amazon and not Acer as my AAO 150 didn't come with a slip cover of any kind. :|

Interesting thing about the slip cover. My first AA1 came with a slipcover that opened along a narrow edge. Had to return it after three weeks; black screen of death. The replacement, which has been going strong for 2 months now, has its opening along a long edge. The better to accommodate a 6-cell battery?
