    Hi there,
    it's me again...

Is it possible to change the Acer One-Bootscreen to the "normal" boot-screen in textmode?! I mean where you can see what happen during the boot...

    Thank you!

    Greetings,
    Alex

    Hi alex,

    sure!

    from a terminal,

    Code:
    sudo mousepad /boot/grub/grub.conf
and delete the word "quiet" in the line

    kernel /boot/bzImage ro root=LABEL=linpus vga=0x311 splash=silent.... etc

    Reboot :)

    Thank you very much!!!

But this damn small thing is booting so fast that you only see 1 or 2 lines before the login-screen appears

But still, thank you very much!!!

    So: Problem solved :p

    Greetings,
    Alex

alex - tell me about it.

I don't even bother to suspend anymore, I just shutdown when I move around ;)

if you want to keep track of what goes on during the boot process, you can run the command "dmesg" from the terminal - it's pretty much the same thing you were seeing during bootup and then some.

There's also a bunch of logs in /var/log/

    Thank you again :)

Sorry if I wright stupid stuff ^^ I'm from Germany and my english isn't the best... We had to translate the first two lines with 2 persons right now ^^ The word's are clear, but the meaning is sometimes a little bit hard to understand  For example: "tell me about it" ... I thought you really mean that I should tell you something ^^ But my girlfried told me that you say that because you know what I mean...

Aaarrrghhh... Enough Off-Topic-Stuff ^^ I don't wanna spam here

    Back to my question:
I just want to do that because it looks more "professional" than Windows... (I hope you understand what I mean)

    Greetings,
    Alex
