IS it possible to dekext??

    Hello!
    the computer fell into sleep so sound stop working, and I tried to install some kext and th e frog. the sound wont come back,. Is it only to uninstall and install everything again??

    Hi,
    just go to System/Library/Extensions and delete the kexts you want to deinstall. Delete the Extensions.mkext (parallel to Extensions directory) file after deleting the kext, then reboot. The system will rebuild the kext cache and restart.

    If you've overwritten an older kext, it should be stored in a Backup directory parallel to System. Use kext helper b7 to restore the older version. Restart to restore the older version.

    Some EFI implementations also use a different folder for additional extensions.
