If you mean "Is it safe to turn off the fan?" then no, it's not.

In my opinion turning off the fan is safe, there is a failsafe that will turn the fan back on if it gets too hot. But excessive heat may reduce the life of your hardware, and Li-ion batteries lose capacity quicker when they are warmer so letting your AA1 run hot with the battery in will likely reduce the life of your battery.

I do turn my fan off from time to time, but only when it really annoys me, turning it off hasn't caused me any problems yet.

However, bear in mind, if this was something Acer endorsed doing, they would have provided an easy method of fan control.
