Have been using wxcam on Ubuntu 8.04 up till now but have had problems with new kernel and so have installed mandriva. Couple of problems ie cannot access sd slot and the other is a web cam application. Have tried ucview which launches and then closes and WmWebcam which juast appears on the task bar and then closes. Has anyone a suggestion? Wxcam would be favourite but it seems that none of the required libaraies etc (wxWidgets etc) appear to be available.
