    Hi to everyone!
I'd like to install the Italian dictionary for ispell (the procedure can be found here), but I noticed that the ispell package is missing.
I've searched the Internet but it seems like there's no precompiled ispell package for Fedora.
Well, I've tried to install from sources but I always get this error message:
    Code:
    + yacc parse.y
/bin/sh: line 2: yacc: command not found
    + cc -O -c y.tab.c
cc: y.tab.c: No such file or directory
    cc: no input files
    + mv y.tab.o parse.o
mv: cannot stat `y.tab.o': No such file or directory
    + rm -f y.tab.c
    + cc -O -o buildhash buildhash.o hash.o makedent.o parse.o
cc: parse.o: No such file or directory
    make: *** [buildhash] Error 1
Is there anyone out there who can give me a helping hand or can show me where to find a binary package for ispell?
    Thanks in advance,

    Burroughs.

No Linux distro actually uses ispell any more- they use aspell:

    http://aspell.net/

You can find an aspell Italian dictionary in Fedora 8's repo. Aspell also comes with a shell script to emulated ispell.

Abiword uses ispell and not aspell because I had aspell installed and Abiword would would not spell check until I installed ispell.

Huh, Abiword supports Aspell, Ispell and Enchant:

Do you have an aspell dictionary installed?
