I'm using Chameleon 2 RC1 on a BOOT132/Retail install with stock kernel. (upgraded to 10.5.6)

In the past, when getting the machine tweaked out, it was nice to see the verbose boot information... but now I don't want it and can't seem to shut it off.

I removed the "-v" flag from the "Strings" entry in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

In that same file, the value for "Quiet Boot" is set to "Yes".

I even went so far as to use Onyx to tell it to boot Normal mode.

Yet, it still boots in verbose mode... Is there something I'm missing? Somewhere else this might be set?

    Found it.

Chameleon has its own com.apple.Boot.plist file in /Extras/

It had made a copy of my old original. I edited as normal and all is well.

Maybe this will help someone else having similar problems.
