I don't get why they would force people to switch. I love what I have now and I don't want to change. That's why I didn't do the update. Why did they even give an option to decline update if they're just going to make us do it anyway? I hope it won't cause me problems and too much change. I love how user friendly my laptop is now.

Yikes, I have to warn my son about this! I think he is still on Window 7!

Like @thess I can't stand why they have to force people to switch!

I have Windows 8 but I don't think its fair of Microsoft to force people to switch. People should use what they are comfortable with. All these constant updates can be infuriating because I'm constantly having to learn how to operate a new system that I didn't ask for. I'm usually content with how things are but companies are always advancing.

I know it's annoying to switch when you are use to something, but from a business perspective i understand. It takes resources to continue to support something that doesn't make them money still. For most uses i wouldn't be to concerned, and for personal data i use Linux to protect me.

Coming next is Windows 8.1, you will see. They don't want to leave us any choice. This is starting to feel more lie some kind of dictatorship. Microsoft is surely giving me that feeling.
