I just got my pink aspire 160Gb 6-cell battery. I absolutly LOVE it!
Anyways, I tried to transfer my iTunes library to the aspire and somewhere in the transfer process, I lost about 500 songs.
What I did was I went to MyDocuments-My Music-iTunes-itunes Music and copied everything to a jump drive.
Then I took the jump drive to the aspire and downloaded itunes. Then I found the itunes music folder in My Music and copied everything from my jump drive to that folder...

how did I lose 500 songs?

It might be because all of your music was not in one folder you copied. When you first install iTunes, it prompt you to allow it to search your entire computer for music. What you should try is to "consolidate your library" and ensure the folder you will copy it all to is the one you already know. This should be done on the computer you wish to copy the music from.

Repeat the copy process as you already have done...

Perhaps the missing songs will now be there for you :)
