    Hi
I just managed to instal ubuntu-9.04-beta-netbook-remix-i386 and switched the normal desktop view (not the unr desktop) then rebooted and now I have nothing there. Just the mouse and backgroung picture. No bar along the top or any icons or nbr desktop.

    USB does mount though.

This is clearly a beta bug but can you help me get back to any desktop?

    thanks remainz

    no nothing happens
terminal doesnt come up on alt f2 either
I think a reinstal might be my best option

I want a small netbook instal with a fully working normal desktop . I really dont get why having an icon cluttered desktop is better than a small applications menu
