I have installed Java to my acer, but for some reason when I try to use it to "chat" in one of the sites I visit, it won't open the page. It says it is logging on, but won't. Down in the bottom left hand part of the page, it said applet. Any ideas where I am going wrong?

The AAO already comes with a version of Java installed. If you've installed Sun's Java, then you'll need to make that one the default Java. If you look at the bottom of my FAQ page on my blog, you'll see a link that explains what you'd have to do.

    Cheers.
