I was just wondering if it is necenserly to create a restore disc ?
Or does the aspire got a second partition to restore it from the bios?
I've read in the manual that it got a second restore partition.

Just need to know that for sure before installing things on it....

    Welcome to the Acer club!

The hard drive does have a recovery partition, and using a BIOS utility you can restore to factory state. Having said that, though, this will not help you if your hard drive crashes.

There is a utility on the Acer that will burn recovery disks for you if you have an external DVD burner. If you do not, you can contact Acer customer service and request a free copy of the recovery DVDs. Tell them that you are unable to burn them at home for whatever reason, they'll ship them out quick.

    Good luck!
