Hi guys and thx for taking the time to read this. I have so far without major problems managed to install xp on my 110,
i used sp2 xp home loaded on to a usb stick via usb multiboot, then updated to service pack 3 etc and apart from a few small speed issues every thing else seems to be running fine, the problem i have is at start up when i get presented with a please select the operating system to start message,
    My choices are
    1. Microsoft windows xp home edition
    2. Usb repair not to start microsoft xp home edition

I always choose option 1 and it then goes on to load normally. I have never chose option 2, to scared to lol.
My boot order is like this
    1 USB HDD
    2 IDEO
    3 IDEI
    4 USB FDD
5 NETWORK BOOT LEGACY PCI DEVICE
    6 USB CDROM
Is this normal or have i missed something ,cheers Dave

    hey holmesy!

I had this problem too when i installed xp!

Easiest way to fix is it do the following...

    1. Click Start, Run.
    2. Type "Msconfig" without the quotations and press ok.
    3. A new window will open, Click "Boot.ini" along the top.
    4. Click "Check all boot paths"
    5. This should fix your problem! ;)

Control Panel -> system -> Advanced -> Startup and recover -> Settings. You can edit or just make sure that you have the right one selected in the dropdown menu, then uncheck the option to have it display OS options for booting.

a few videos' might help, there is also a thread here on how to do it with pictures.

Make sure you have the proper screwdrivers. Using the wrong size head will quickly strip a screw and frustrate you. I didn't have any issues with any of the screws but there are a few places where I needed to use different size screwdrivers.
