    hey ladies and gents

I'm new to the boards and i'm waiting to receive my aspire one tomorrow morning. I ordered from ncix in canada since the particular model wasn't available in the USA. 16gb ssd, 1gb ram, linux, and 6 cell battery. with the exchange rate it came out to 322 + next day shipping +insurance for a total of $349. $349 locally would get me a mechanical drive and a 3 cell battery and i'd have to pay tax on it so i think i got a pretty good deal. They had good communications when i'd email them and they shipped it very quickly and provided a tracking number. i wont be able to confirm just how good the transaction is until i receive the netbook but so far i am very pleased.

if anyone is interested, this is the link

ok well, back to exploring the forums!

just received the netbook, shipping was FAST. ordered wednesday night and received it friday at 10:30 am. not bad from canada to miami, FL. only gripe is that it has the english/french keyboard. the support guy at ncix wasnt sure if it had it or not when i ordered and i took the gamble. time to see if i can change it out for an english one.

Would you post the details like part number manufacture and such of the 16Gb SSD if you ever decide to open it all the way up.

    Thanks in advance.
