I decided to add 1GB of ram to my @ne and to install Windows on the same. All went fine, next step is to improve it with a 30GB HD.

And now the problem, after installing new OS i realized that the keyboard was all "twisted off", the shift-plus keys aren`t working normally. As an example: Usually you press Shift-plus-8 to get this ( (Shift+2="(" ) but i need to press Shift+9 to get ( otherwise i get a * (When press Shift+8). As you see, the keyboard went crazy!!!

    What could this be?

PS: Already installed Windows 3 times (Not because of this problem), the issue remained .

PPS: Do you think it was a good ebay deal to buy a 30GB 5mm plus shipping, in total 48euros?

    Much appreciated, Souza.

But the first time i installed WinOS the problem came up already, i thought it was the missing drivers.
Second time i installed, was to Format FAT32, before i did it Ntsf.
Then, i've modded the computer adding the Ram. Windows was freezing again, even with more 1GB of ram, it became faster but i thought the freezing should not happen. Well, installed again the Windows. (Then i discovered that the problem is the SSD, righting speeds are low).

As you can see, the issue with the keyboard appeared at the first time i installed Windows, not after the Ram adding. Im pretty sure that reinstall windows will not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

    Thanks a lot.

Have you installed the correct country keyboard i.e. UK British ? Different countries have different keyboards (UK has shift 2 = double quote but the USA keyboard shift 2 is the 'at' sign.

actualkly, you don't need the driver... as long as you install the xp, it will ask you first ( after the dos - like installation ) what keyboard settings you want to have. "US" should be the default but if you purchased the xp installer in another country, it may change. i believe you can still set it up to US settings but i dunno where...
