Keyboard not workin at all!

Hello everybody,
well, this is the issue: I was using my uncle`s Acer Aspire one when I asked him whether i could unplug it from electricity in order to use it some meters away from the place where it was. So I did it, but at the same moment I realized that my uncle had taken out the battery some hours ago (to avoid overload). The Netbook shut down suddenly and when I turned it on again, the keyboard was completely off and not working at all. I tried rebooting, nothing. I checked in the Management tab to find drivers related errors but no result. Touchpad is working as usual anyway.
Is there anything I could do, buy or try to solve it???
Please, it is not an own thing, it is of another person (my uncle)..

My netbook worked great, the next day the keyboard suddenly didn't work at all. After a while it was fully functional again. Try to unplug all the power sources and try a reset. IMHO it's a kind of misbehavior and not a physical damage.
