I asked the question in the hardware forum but it looks like it would be better off over here.
I did a chat with ACER but they are no help at all.

    Acer Response:
Robert, I am sorry we won't support changing of the operating system and we have no information on the other operating system drivers other than the operating system that shipped with the computer.
Charles Varghese: You need to check online for getting the drivers for other operating system.

    Original question:

I'm running an Aspire One 250 in dual boot mode with XP and Win 7. In Xp my external monitor shows full screen and 1020 x 1024 or something like that -- can't look it up right now. On the W7 side the resolution won't go beyond 1024 x 600. Also the ctl-alt-f1 switch won't work for screen switching. In fact none of the ACER hot keys work.

My guess is that XP running as the original factory set up has drivers for the chip set. The W7 does not.

I have the factory CDs. How do I get the drivers installed and still run W7??

This link should take you to the page you need for drivers for the AOD250

    http://www.acer.co.uk/acer/service.do?L ... 2980211862

Click through netbook, aspire one, aod250

It gives the drivers not available through Win7

I use the AOA150ab, originally linpus and havent had a problem so far.
