    Hi Guys,
    I'm totally new to Linux, can someone tell me how I change my keyboard? I'm trying to load VLC and need to type in commands. I can't get the \ on the keyboard. I'd be really grateful for some help. :?

    I have a UK keyboard and it works on mine. Check Keyboard under Settings.

    As easy as that ! I feel a right idiot. Had to set the keyboard to US English as default. Thanks for the help. :oops:
