Keyboarding and touchpad not working after reassembly

    Sometimes one works and the other doesn't, sometimes niether works. I can't tell what I'm doing differently when something works verses works verses when it doeasn't. I think I'm having trouble with the ribbon cables, and the little black thing that is supposed to hold them in place. Any ideas or suggestions?
