I wouldn't know where to start. But here is the next best thing.

Here is a little guide to what I have done.

    Re: Kuki

    I hope not. :-(

I like to think that the move is just taking up a lot of his time in the immediate present, but who knows.

    Re: Kuki

ahaha :) of course not !
The move is really being complicated and i did not have interwebs ready. :)
    Hopefully will have today!
Sorry to keep you all waiting but i need things to calm down a bit, i have my house full of boxes and i need it usable and my wife will kill me if i grab on kuki right now and stop helping her lol :p
But it's no vapourware no sir :) it's just i have serious "real life" stuff that really need my full atention now and i need to do them.

I am eagerly awaiting this new OS, thank you to everyone involved. My question is when to install Kuki. I am new to Linux. Will it be ready for the noob like me once its in beta or will there be a big flashing gif hyperlink on the Kuki website when its ready? I just keep thinking of all of Google's stuff that keeps the name beta for years and years.

    Re: Kuki

When to install? When you can download the iso or img on the website. These guys also have a job and a private life, so you can only wait for it to be ready.
In the meantime you might take a look at this: http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=7012
Not everything works yet, but it's the easiest netbook linux version I've tried. Wifi works, netbook remix installed, so it's ready to chat, surf, work on documents, ...
I hope Kuki will give an option of a fully working distro, but it takes time and I do hope a fully working version will be ready soon. All we can do now is wait (or help with the development)

After you backup everything on your computer so you can go back if you decide to or in case something messes up in the install.

    Re: Kuki

honestly. so long as kuki can work out of box and I can add packages easily (really, I just bought an AAO so I could play emulators and watch movies at work and get online from my bed) I'll be happy as hell and ditch linpus in a heartbeat.

    Re: Kuki

People might think kuki is dead, they can say that or call it vaporware or what they want to call it.
But as it was said before, i devel kuki on free time basis.
And my free time is currently -10. it is not a lot of free time.

Reasons for this lack of time :

    - I'm working from 10am to 9 pm on a most daily basis for the last month.
    - Due to company issues i am assigned for 24x7 support for the last 25 days and it will persist for the next month most likely - I'm not happy for this as you may imagine because it affects my life badly e.g. : kuki -
    - I'm *married* and my other half obviously requests for my attention because of my lack of free time due to lots of work hours.
    - And i have been sick for the last 2 weeks.

I have not forgotten kuki, for that i have my AAO with only the devel version ( wich only has few stuff done and is barebly usable) i do this so i never forget that my aao is stopped and useless sitting at a corner.

Finally im not Angry or whatever with anyone.
But nor do i feel bad or guilty with myself.
I remind you that i'm the only general developer of this distro and you have a lot of other way better working / better supported AAO distros around.

Those interested in waiting i thank you for your patience.
Those not interested in waiting have a lot of options.

    Thank you.

    Re: Kuki

Leak, you do not need to apologize to anyone for anything. What you are doing is a service and it is free. So anyone that can't deal with this.... Well it is their problem and they should be ashamed for pushing or complaining. Keep up the good work.
