Lagging sound and video

Good morning,
yesterday i tried to install windows vista home premium on my aao a150x. i have upgraded the ram so i have 1,5gig. now i've got the problem that if i have opened firefox icq and media player, the sound lags. it's really often but i don't think it's because of the ram because i am using my 2gig sd card as a further cache.
is this a known problem? can anybody help me

the only thing i can think of is, go to control panel -> system -> device manager

then expand the section 'disk drives' and right click on your hard drive and check what mode is using, pio or dma or something like that

i think PIO is slow and the other one (DMA i think, i cant remember, lets leave it as the one that is NOT PIO mode) is fast

if that doenst work, do you have gadgets enabled? anything that is stealing clockcycles,

 

Try updating your driver.

and be sure to switch your theme to Windows Classic or Basic and NOT Vista default.
