    Hello,

I got mine yesterday. Came empty so have to install the OS myself.
The original recovery disk (linpus) install sooooooo slowly. From welcome to select partition, it took me about 20mins this morning. I can't wait anymore so I aborted it. Is that normal for installation? 20mins from WELCOME to SELECT PARTITION?
My friend installed me a windows xp temporarily coz I need to use the laptop this morning. That's when I noticed that the 'network connection' was empty. No broadband, no LAN nothing. I was told that LAN cannot be browsed by default, and I have to get some guides to overcome this. I tried to connect it 2 my home broadband, and of coz it doesn't work.
    Help me pls... :(
    All replies are appreciated.

Haha... Thanks for the answer, Kevin. :)
But I can't do that. It was suppose to come with no OS installed.
Have to do it myself. They give original installation cd.
    (Arghhhh...regret this BIG time)

Installation time is VERY, VERY, VERY slow - it is normal... That's why most of users id modding AA1 to have HDD :)

Under WinXP system - did your friend installed all drivers for network adapters?? Can you look into Hardware Manager?? What you've got there??

Thanks for your reply, melhiore. :)

So, the slowness of the installation is due to small HDD then?
    Okay, tq. :)
By da way, Ethernet lalalala everything was in yellow questionmark.
So, should i re-install the xp?

No - you do not have to reinstall whole system. Just install/reinstall only drivers :) This will help...

You can download them from here: http://www.aspireoneuser.com/category/drivers/
