Gave my daughter a AAO today.

It uses Linux (new to me - so please keep any answers simple!)

When I connect via the LAN it works perfectly.

When I try WiFi, I get the message that it has connected to "House" (i.e. home router) - but when I try to get any web page, I am told Firefox cannot find the server.

    I don't get it!

BTW I have a PC and laptop through the router - the wireless connection on the laptop works fine (though I've not been able to work out wifi connections for the kids DS and Wii)

    Thanks

Go to the connections manager on your taskbar and enter the details for a new WLAN connection, ie. enter the ssid and password for your wireless router, check the box connect automatically, save.

Make sure the little switch under the right hand side of the acer is swithed on (a small red light should be on). You should then be able to connect to the internet. :)

Try to do this again. Reset everything and configure all connection settings again. Sometimes it help and will "cost" you a bit more time :)
