Laplink

    Is it possible to connect an Aspire One Linpus to a PC, in the style of laplink, for the transfer of files from one to the other?

    There a number of ways to do that with a number of different solutions offered by Linux itself. Not knowing what OS your PC is running, doesn't allow me to make a suggestion.
